Fennek 50

from €2,890.00

Modular Masterpiece by Dutch Designer Roderick Vos

Designed by renowned Dutch designer Roderick Vos, the Fennek fireplace embodies clean sight lines and robust construction, with its 3mm thick plates clearly visible throughout. Named after the fennec fox, this modular fireplace combines innovation with a strong industrial aesthetic, offering versatile design elements that can be adapted across different models. The Fennek 80 and Fennek 50 share interchangeable components, including identical side panels and legs, making it a functional and stylish addition to any outdoor space.

Description

This time we chose to make the flue draining. There is a 20 cm stump on the stove where the pipe falls over, this way no water can get into the stove.

The legs are fitted with large robust cap nuts and a stainless steel bolt is screwed in there so that the fireplace is free from the ground and there are no rust marks on the terrace.

The door handle is integrated in the right-hand strip of the door. We have made an extra recess in the grappling hook, this can be used to open the door a little bit and then secure it.
This position is ideal when starting the fire.

The side panels are hooked into the stove and pressed down considerably, making them very stuck. But they can always be released later by pushing them up again.
urthermore, the side panels are provided with air gaps so that air can enter the combustion chamber in front of the glass, this ensures clean windows.

Furthermore, both have a deep firing bottom, made with the well-known refractory concrete. For the flue we used the same CorTen steel pipes that are known from the Quaruba series.
The lower pipe is again provided with an adjustable valve so that the flame image can be regulated somewhat. Roderick did come up with a new rain hood that fits very well with the design of the stove.
This can also be retrofitted as an option with a spark catcher (the same as we use with the Quaruba).
